| Northwest Network Services Inc., which owns NorthsoundNet and BainbridgeNet Internet Services, has announced that it has been informed from Qwest that funding has been approved to construct a DS3 fiber connection to the firm’s operation center on Bainbridge Island.
The DS3 connection will provide virtually unlimited capacity to connect the firm’s customer’s connections and web services to the Internet.
“Having a fiber-based connection to the Internet is now a standard checklist item for most Internet Service Providers.” said Bob Malecki, President of Northwest Network Services. “Although it has taken Qwest many months to work out the construction details, this new DS3 circuit will give Northwest Network Services the capacity it needs to serve both it’s broadband and domain hosted customer base, and provide capacity for future growth.”. |
