Charter Pipeline now available
at local Gateway store
Consumers can sign up for cable modem service when buying new PC
Consumers can now sign up for Charter Pipeline‘ high-speed Internet service at the same time they’re buying a new personal computer at the Gateway store in Silverdale. A retail partnership between Charter and Gateway makes it easy for customers to sign up for a broadband access package that includes equipment and ongoing support.

“Most consumers want a personal computer so they can go to the Internet,” said Jerry Rotondo, general manager for Charter in Port Orchard. “We want to make it as convenient and affordable as possible for customers to bundle Charter Pipeline service with a new Gateway personal computer right at the time they’re buying that computer.”

“A high-speed connection dramatically enhances the customer’s experience with their PC and opens the door to exciting applications like digital music, photography and video,” said Mike Flanary, vice president of communications solutions, Gateway, Inc. “We’re pleased to offer even more Gateway customers the opportunity to take advantage of broadband access through our alliance with Charter.”

Customers can go to the Gateway store in Silverdale to see a demonstration of Charter Pipeline and quickly find out whether the service is available at their home. Customers who buy a new Gateway computer can select from packages that include special promotional prices for Charter Pipeline service.
