The enhanced customer experience!
It’s time to “Kick it up a notch”
By Becky Wiles
Did you know there are criterion available to web developers to “kick it up a notch,” i.e. to provide the best web tools/processes for your service or product?

There are five targeted areas in maintaining a web site, each comprising 20 percent of the total web site. The areas are:

• Functionality — Accessibility, Speed & Bandwidth Sensitivity, HTML Quality, Navigation and Links, Legality.

• Design — Graphic design, user friendliness, aesthetics and beauty, alignment and layout, integration.

• Content — Purpose, human interactivity, information process, verbal expression, attention to detail.

• Originality — Innovation and lateral thinking, creativity, technology, distinctiveness, vision.

• Professionalism and Effectiveness — Customer service and client respect, values, focus, advanced components, overall site effectiveness.

Each of the sub-sets has descriptive criterion to guide the team (client and developer) to achieve effectiveness which equals ROI.

The criterion is intended to “kick it up a notch,” whether you have had a web out there for 5 years or 5 months. With the new hub being targeted for North Kitsap, and the talent and experience of local web developers, I invite you to take advantage of this inexpensive media for the current or future enhanced customer experience.
