| Oracle Corp. is trying to put to rest speculation the software giant is recruiting Bill Clinton to join its board of directors.
The possibility of Clinton filling a vacant seat on Oracles board has been bandied about the companys headquarters since before the former president left office.
Oracles November hiring of Clintons former press spokesman, Joe Lockhart, and Oracle CEO Larry Ellisons open admiration of the former president fueled the speculation.
Reported by The Associated Press, the buzz intensified when Oracle revealed Clinton had been hired as the keynote speaker at a company convention in New Orleans on Feb. 19. Clintons fee for the appearance hasnt been disclosed. |
