Northwest Network teams up with Miva
Bainbridge Island-based Northwest Network Services Inc., which operates NorthsoundNet and BainbridgeNet internet Services, recently announced it has selected MivaMerchant Web Store software to provide e-commerce solutions for its virtual domain customers.

Miva is a server-based product which enables merchants to sell products online in a secure “virtual store” environment. Northwest Network Services offers two easy to use e-commerce solutions: Miva Merchant, a complete storefront solution and Miva Order, an ecommerce order and payment transaction processing solution. Both provide merchants with a standardized online method to build and manage e-commerce storefronts using only their Internet browser.

“Over the past few years, setting up a virtual store has been challenging for the average merchant.” said Bob Malecki, President of Northwest Network Services. “Through our addition of the Miva software suite, we are lowering the barrier to entry for e-commerce solutions for the small business merchant by offering an economically priced, easy-to-use product.”

The Miva software allows a merchant to build a virtual storefront on its website using an easy-to-configure browser-based interface. The result lets shoppers browse through the online store, collecting items for purchase in a “virtual shopping cart.” Merchants can manage their store remotely, setting pricing, product offerings, tax and shipping charges, secure payment systems for credit card authorization and have all orders electronically submitted to their office for processing and shipping.
