| Technology and computer software change quickly and its just as important for government employees to stay on top of those changes as it is for their counterparts in private industry. And thats exactly whats happening between the Human Resource Service Center, Northwest (HRSC-NW) and Olympic College, Center for Continuing Education & Lifelong Learning.
To meet demand for this training, the HRSC-NW is hosting computer software classes via its arrangement with Olympic College (OC). The classes will either be on-site at the HRSC-NWs computer classroom in Silverdale or at the new OC state-of-the-art computer training laboratories located at 654 4th Street in downtown Bremerton.
While of course we first want to meet the needs of Navy civilians and military, other federal employees may also enroll on a space-available basis, pointed out Kris Wheeler, employee development specialist for the HRSC-NW and computer training program manager. We feel that Olympic College can provide us the best training locally available and at a cost which is very affordable!
This is an exciting time for all of us, remarked Eric Pfefferkorn, senior contract training manager for OC. By combining the resources of a world-class educational institution with the exceptional learning opportunities provided by the HRSC-HW, Olympic College has the privilege of providing affordable, high-quality training on-site to government employees.
Classes that are being scheduled include Windows 98, MS Office Suite, Visual Basic, Web Design, Pagemaker, and Internet.
