Joel Burt, a Class of 2000 graduate from South Kitsap High and son of John Burt and Kathryn Austin of Port Orchard, recently completed Microsoft Certified Systems Engineers (MCSE) Training after being awarded a scholarship to Paladin University in Poulsbo.

Peggy Roy, Director of Paladin University said, “Joel is a very bright young man, who has great potential for a successful career in information technology. Joel progressed so well through the daily classes of Microsoft Official Curriculum, that he transferred into an accelerated program and finished his certification several weeks ahead of schedule.”

The MCSE credential is the premier certification for IT professionals who analyze the business requirements, design and implement the infrastructure for business solutions based on the Microsoft Windows platform and server software. Implementation responsibilities include installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network systems.

After a short vacation, Burt will be returning to Paladin University to gain practical job experience, working in their internship program.
