Capture desktop screen with a keystroke
American Systems has released Print Screen 3.0, a program for capturing the contents of the screen with a keystroke. It will run under Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT 4.0, and Windows 2000, and requires 2MB of RAM and 1.0MB of free hard disk space.

The captured image can be sent to a printer or saved on disk as a JPG file which can be converted to other formats with the use of a third party application such as Adobe PhotoShop.

Print Screen has a variety of features that make it extremely intuitive and easy-to-use. It will capture, save and/or print the contents of the entire Windows screen, or just the active window, when the “hot key” is pressed. The hot key defaults to the “PrintScreen” key, but users may also define other keys to initiate a capture.
The product has an “Auto Print” function that will automatically print the full screen or active window whenever the hot key is pressed and there’s an “Auto Save” mode that allows the user to set a default directory/folder where screen capture files are saved.

Print Screen also has “Live Update” technology so users can easily update to the current version while connected to the Internet.

Print Screen is available for $19.95 from the American Systems Web site at www.americansys.com.
