Amex Enters E-market fray
   American Express is expanding its product sales efforts by forming an Internet-based e-marketplace for office and industrial supplies and business services including temporary labor.

The venture, dubbed MarketMile, is targeted initially for mid-sized companies, with plans to take the offering to both larger and smaller companies in the near future.

The venture is a joint undertaking of American Express and Ventro Corp., which builds and operates exchanges in various industry sectors and in various parts of the world.
