| Kitsap County has selected Poulsbo-based Paladin Data Systems Corporation to provide Oracle design and database administration services, in the development of a Web-oriented, GIS/Oracle-based land use information system.
The new system will fully integrate the assessor-treasurer system with countywide geographic information and permit tracking system.
This new land use information system is part of our continuing effort to provide first-rate services, along with wise spending decisions, to the citizens of Kitsap County, said Commissioner Chris Endresen. When completed, it will allow citizens easy access to county government records, without ever having to leave their homes or offices. And I am absolutely thrilled that a local company, Paladin, was selected to do the Lions share of the work. I am proud that Kitsap County is home to many talented, enterprising individuals.
Jim Nall, President and CEO of Paladin Data Systems Corporation said, We commend the county for their open, competitive process and their consideration of our qualifications. Paladin is gratified not only to receive this contract to provide top-quality work to the residents of Kitsap County, but also because this agreement reinvests hard-earned taxpayer dollars into local jobs for local people.
Work on this project, which began July 10, will ultimately give citizens 24-hour access to government information, including tax records and zoning regulations. |
