Public to get its say on Microsoft
The Senate Judiciary Committee is planning hearings to air public concerns about the Microsoft breakup order.

The committee, led by Microsoft critic Sen. Orrin Hatch (R.-Utah), will hold the hearings shortly, said sources close to the committee, which has jurisdiction over U.S. antitrust laws.

“We haven’t set a date yet,” said Jeanne Lopatto, a spokeswoman for the Senate Judiciary Committee. “There are a lot of issues the remedy will bring up that will have an effect on consumers and competitors.”.
