| WebTrends Corp. has released a Web tool that lets more workers view detailed reports about how their e-business is doing from the average size of orders to regional sales activity.
The software, called WebTrends Live, is designed to give users real-time measurement and analysis of traffic patterns and online revenue.
More sales and marketing employees want access to reports about online sales activities, said WebTrends Live product manager Jeff Seacrist. Theres more and more responsibility being put on the managers of these e-businesses to return a profit, he said.
WebTrends Live can generate reports that show, for example, how many Web visitors are returning customers and how many are first-time visitors, Seacrist said. Managers can sort sales data by product, location or customer profile.
The product also can provide data about which search engines customers use to locate the e-commerce site, the search phrases they used and the first page they visited upon arriving. |
