Reagan Dunn announces 25 sheriff and prosecutor endorsements
New poll shows the race a "dead heat"

Former federal prosecutor and Attorney General Candidate Reagan Dunn announced the endorsement of 25 elected prosecutors and sheriffs from 18 different counties. Dunn has been in the Attorney General race since June, and his list of endorsements continues to grow.

“County sheriffs and prosecutors are on the front lines of justice,” said Dunn. “The State of Washington needs these individuals to be successful for our communities to be safe. Yet, many of the cuts and unfunded mandates from Olympia flow down to them. As Attorney General, I will advocate for the tools they need to fight crime in their communities.”

Among the list of local elected law enforcement leaders are prominent sheriffs and prosecutors from major population centers such as Spokane, Vancouver, Wenatchee, Yakima and the Tri-Cities — a list that is growing by the week.

  • Pend Oreille Co. Sheriff Alan Botzheim
  • Skamania Sheriff Dave Brown
  • Spokane Sheriff Ozzie Kenezovich
  • Walla Walla Sheriff John Turner
  • Whitman Sheriff Brett Meyers
  • Yakima Sheriff Ken Irwin

  • Chelan County Prosecutor Gary Riesen
  • Ferry County Prosecutor Michael Sandona
  • Franklin County Prosecutor Shawn Sant
  • Garfield County Prosecutor Matthew Newberg
  • Grant County Prosecutor Angus Lee
  • Kittitas County Prosecutor Greg Zempel
  • Klickitat County Prosecutor Lori Hoctor
  • Lewis County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer
  • Mason County Prosecutor Michael Dorcy
  • Spokane County Prosecutor Steve Tucker
  • Whitman County Prosecutor Denis Tracy

In addition to 25 Prosecutors and Sheriffs, Reagan Dunn recently received endorsements from the Washington State Association of Realtors and the Building Industry Association of Washington. Earlier this month Dunn announced that he had passed his opponent in fundraising and crossed over $400,000 raised for the campaign.

Today, a Moore Information poll was announced that showed the race for Attorney General a “dead heat.” According to the poll of 500 registered voters in Washington State, Dunn received 24 percent and his opponent 25 percent with 44 percent undecided. The poll shows that while Democrats have a generic edge in the state, the race for AG shows no such advantage.
