The North Mason Chamber announces that David Peterson, superintendent of North Mason School District and Dr. David C. Mitchell, president of Olympic College will deliver a “The State of Education” address during the membership luncheon on Sept. 28.
This informative event will afford attendees an inside glimpse of the state of the region’s elementary through college level educational system. Peterson and Dr. Mitchell will provide insight in the challenges of today’s economy and the subsequent impacts on the quality of the educational process. They further will discuss their strong working relationship and the subsequent benefits that are enjoyed by thousands of students enrolled in both academic programs.
“In our continuing effort to provide our membership and the west sound community quality programming that is germane to the issues and topics most import to our region, we are thrilled that both Peterson and Dr. Mitchell have agreed to deliver this timely message” stated Chamber President and CEO, Mark W. Costa.
Due to the anticipated turnout for this luncheon, the event will take place at the Kitsap Conference Center at Bremerton Harborside on Wednesday, Sept. 28. The luncheon begins at 11:30 a.m. and will conclude by 1 p.m. For new North Mason Chamber members a 30 minute orientation begins at 11 a.m. Guests are welcome.
