A trio of Olalla artists will host an invitational Yuletide Fine Art Festival Dec. 12 and 13 at the Olalla Community Hall from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The organizers, Dianne Gardner, Christy Camerer and Gary Jackson are professional artists who work in different mediums.
Gardener (www.gardnersart.com), who specializes in oil painting, is well-known for her portraits and landscapes. She has designed artwork for Perennial Vintners of Bainbridge Island and Olalla Winery. Both Kitsap wineries will also participate in the Festival.
Camerer creates highly representational works in color pencil. Her work can be seen in several Northwest galleries and she has won awards in numerous art shows.
Jackson (www.sunburstmetalworks.com) is a metal sculptor known for his wildlife sculpture and fine stainless steel signage. His large-scale stainless steel murals can be found in the Gig Harbor Civic Center, the Pierce County Transit Center in Bonney Lake and other public and private collections.
The group has invited a number of other artists - mostly from the South Kitsap area — to participate in the festival.
The free event will take place at The Olalla Community Hall, located on Olalla Valley Road, between Forsman and Orchard Roads. For information contact Charlee Glock-Jackson at charlee [at] centurytel [dot] net or (253) 857-5604.
