Windermere to offer classes for first time homebuyers

Real estate agents Bonnie Michal and KJ Lange of Windermere West Sound Inc. in Silverdale will be hosting a series of seminars in September for first time homebuyers as the $8,000 tax credit deadline approaches. A person is considered a first time buyer if he/she has not had any ownership interest in a home in the three years previous to the day of purchase.

“The $8,000 tax credit is going away soon and we wanted to offer information for first time buyers so they feel equipped in making the right decisions to take advantage of this rare opportunity,” said Michal.

“As experts in representing homebuyers, we also wanted to have a professional in lending on hand to answer any questions and present scenarios for first time homebuyers,” added Lange. “Cherie Kesi of Windermere Mortgage Services will join us. She has 25 years of lending and counseling experience so we are privileged to have her.”

The classes are 90 minutes each and will cover areas such as market update, why buy now?, home search, negotiations, earnest money, financing, offers/counteroffers, and inspections plus much more.

The dates from which attendees may choose are: Mon. the 14th, Tues. the 22nd, or Wed. the 30th of September. Classes are scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m. at the Windermere office located at 9939 Mickelberry Road in Silverdale. Advance registration is required by calling (360) 692-6102.
