| Ford dealers are pressing top management at Ford Motor Co. to deliver more new products and deliver them faster. Their pleas came during a recent three-day meeting in Dearborn and Windsor, Ontario, that included the Ford dealer council, Ford division president Jim OConnor and 11 Ford group vice presidents and vice presidents, as well as representatives of th e United Auto Workers and Canadian Auto Workers.
OConnor explained that Ford`s product pipeline temporarily went from a stream to a drip when the company turned its research and development money to bolstering some of its foreign brands, such as Jaguar, Land Rover, Volvo and Aston-Martin. |
