Courtesy Ford named a
“Top 500 Dealer” by Ward’s
   Poulsbo’s Courtesy Ford, Inc. has earned the “Ward’s Dealer 500” distinction in the nation’s only annual dealership ranking, which is conducted by Ward’s Dealer Business magazine.

John M. Hern, owner of Courtesy Ford, Inc. was congratulated by Ward’s Dealer Business Publisher Rich West and Editor Steve Finlay for making the list, which appeared in the June issue. The list is in its 15th year and is based on total 2000 revenue and of Ward’s Dealer Business.

Dealerships that made the Ward’s Dealer 500 collectively sold 1,543,247 new vehicles in 2000 — up 5 percent from 1999. This total represents 9 percent of all new vehicles sold in the U.S. —up from 8 percent in 1999. “The dealers on the Ward’s 500 are doing just about everything right in all facets of running a dealership,” said Finlay. “Their vehicle sales are high, their customer satisfaction scores are high, their service and parts departments are efficiently managed. It’s not easy running a car dealership, but these dealers have mastered it.”
