| The Haselwood family of car dealerships, known as the Haselwood Auto Group, just keeps growing. They recently bought the local Chrysler and Plymouth franchises from the Pearce family which owns Bremerton Chrysler Plymouth Dodge, which is now known simply as Bremerton Dodge.
The new dealership, which has been named Premier Chrysler Plymouth Jeep, is a partnership between longtime dealer Chuck Haselwood and family member Rick Wiler. Wiler also runs Heartland Toyota, another family-owned dealership and is president and general manager of the Haselwood Auto Group.
Bryan Nelson has been named as the general sales manager at the new dealership.
The Haselwoods already owned the Jeep franchise which they got when they bought out Allen Martin Chevrolet Jeep Eagle some years ago. Jeep is manufactured by DiamlerChrysler, who discontinued the Eagle nameplate before the Diamler merger.
Haselwood rechristened the dealership Today Chevrolet Jeep, and then a few months ago bought the Cadillac and Oldsmobile franchises from longtime Bremerton dealer Martin Hoover, who in turn ended up with Haselwood’s Kia franchise.
Except for Saturn, that move gave the Haselwoods the complete General Motors line of automobiles — Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac, Oldsmobile, Pontiac and GMC trucks. They built a new, state-of-the-art dealership, Today Chevrolet Cadillac Oldsmobile, and kept the Jeep store where it was on Auto Center Way.
Except for the Dodge nameplate, Premier puts all the DiamlerChrysler products under one local roof as well.
In addition to Today Chevrolet, Cadillac Oldsmobile, Heartland Toyota and the new Premier Chrysler Plymouth Jeep dealership, the Haselwood Auto Group also owns West Hills Honda as well as Haselwood Buick Pontiac GMC, Lexus of Bellevue, Lexus of Fife and Acura of Southcenter.
Wiler says the new dealership will be run under the same philosophy all the others are — support the community that supports you. The Haselwoods have been generous contributors to numerous local causes including a $250,000 donation to rebuild the Olympic College Library which was named in their honor. |
