Ken’s Auto Body updates collision technology
Ken’s Auto Body in Port Orchard recently installed the Shark Computerized Electronic Measuring System — which is the latest technology in diagnosing and repairing vehicles collision-damaged vehicles. Shark is a totally new measuring concept designed to be computer driven using uItrasound technology to measure a vehicle’s structure.

According to owner Ken Davis, the sophisticated ultrasound technology can pinpoint damage that may not be obvious to the eye or which might not be readily measurable. This is important because vehicles not repaired properly can be unsafe or cause problems like poor steering or premature tire wear.

“The computer database contains up-to-date vehicle specifications on hundreds of full frame cars, trucks and unibody vehicles,” explains Davis. “It covers just about everything on the road today. And in special cases, the built-in modem can download all kinds of vehicle data.”

Shark, manufactured by Hein-Werner Corporation, has the ability to store vehicle damage diagnosis and repair condition for future reference, maintaining a complete historical file on any vehicle.
