GM gives trucks the thumbs up |
| General Motors recently announced it would retool its Oklahoma City production facility to begin building trucks. The announcement was anticipated for several weeks. GM will spend over $700 million to convert production lines to make several new mid-size SUVs aimed at filling a void in its product line between the Chevy Tahoe and Chevy Blazer. The new vehicles, which will compete with the Dodge Durango, will begin production in 2002. |
