The father and son team of John and Rick Hern at Poulsbos Courtesy Ford grace the cover of the April issue of Dealer World magazine. The publication is a trade journal for Ford and Lincoln Mercury dealers.
The article, entitled Great Gains, describes Courtesy as Front-Runners in the automotive industry. It showcases the Herns success in increasing new car sales by 25 percent, new truck sales by 30 percent and parts and service sales by 30.1 percent. It also outlines their strategic plan which is a combination of dedication to employee diversity, staff development, community service and included a $3.5 million renovation to their 19 year-old facility to better meet customer needs. The renovation was completed in January 1999.
The facility renovation was a huge undertaking, but our customers demand the best. And, we plan to give it to them. Our sales and service staff are fully trained and knowledgeable and our employees are 100 percent dedicated to providing the best customer service possible, says John Hern. We take care of our customers and they show their appreciation by returning to our dealership.
John Hern opened Courtesy Ford in 1981 and also owns Courtesy Mitsubishi, Courtesy Suzuki and Courtesy Chevrolet in Poulsbo; Courtesy AutoMax in Silverdale; and Courtesy Ford in Port Townsend.
